THE SPECIAL SERIES LAMBORGHINI AVENTADOR LP 700-4 PIRELLI EDITION CELEBRATES THE HISTORICAL COLLABORATION BETWEEN THE TWO BRANDS

Lamborghini has announced production of an exclusive new special series, the Aventador LP 700-4 Pirelli Edition, created to celebrate the long and ongoing history of collaboration with prestigious Italian tire manufacturer Pirelli. The partnership began back in1963, the year the House of the Raging Bull was established, and since then all Lamborghini cars have been equipped with Pirelli tires. The two firms share not only their Italian origins but also, and above all, a constant quest for technological innovation.

The new Aventador Pirelli Edition, available in Coupé and Roadster versions, will be produced in a special series and is available to order now from dealers, for delivery early summer 2015.

The super sports car maintains all its unique technical features, first and foremost the carbon fiber monocoque, the V12 engine, pushrod suspensions and the permanent all-wheel drive, which underlie the Aventador's global success. The special Pirelli series is enhanced by exclusive equipment specifically designed by the Lamborghini Centro Stile.

The exterior sports a two-tone color scheme in two options. The first is matteblack for the roof, the pillars, the rearview mirrors, the engine hood, and the front, rear, side and moving air in takes, in contrast with six glossy finishes for the rest of the body (Giallo Spica, Rosso Mars, Bianco Isis, Nero Aldebaran, Grigio Liqueo, and Grigio Ater). The second option is glossy black for the upper parts of the car and the air intakes, in contrast with four matte finishes for the rest of the exterior (Bianco Canopus, Nero Nemesis, Grigio Adamas, and Grigio Titans).

AUTOMOBILI LAMBORGHINI BECOMES FIRST AUTOMOTIVE FIRM IN THE WORLD TO OBTAIN TÜV CERTIFICATION FOR ITS CARBON FIBER CAR REPAIR SERVICE

Sant’Agata Bolognese, September 25, 2014 – Automobili Lamborghini has obtained certification from TÜV for its carbon fiber car repair service over the entire product range.

The certificate was presented today at the company's Sant’Agata Bolognese headquarters in the presence of the President and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini, Stephan Winkelmann, and the CEO of TÜV Italia, Ettore Favia.

This certification, achieved for the first time in the world within the automotive industry, recognizes Automobili Lamborghini's technological leadership in Research and Development in the field of composite materials.

“Quality is a fundamental value in our company philosophy and underlies our success. We are therefore proud to be the first automotive company on a global level to receive this certification, which marks a further milestone in achieving the complete satisfaction of each and every customer,” declared Stephan Winkelmann.

The certification was issued for the requirements of accountability, traceability, reliability, punctuality and accuracy of the service offered by Lamborghini following a series of audits performed by TÜV Italia experts.

Ettore Favia, CEO of TÜV Italia, commented, “When talking about performance, this certification is an exceptional tool in the monitoring of the repair service performance, and it is through this that Lamborghini can offer an additional level of qualification and guarantee to the market which, for this car, is global.”

The models in the current Lamborghini range, Aventador and Huracán, provide evidence of the leading position the company holds in the technology of carbon fiber composite materials, confirming its unique place in the global automotive industry. In fact, Automobili Lamborghini is the only manufacturer that manages the entire carbon fiber process in-house, from simulation to design, production, testing, quality control, and repair.

Thanks to its collaboration with Boeing and its Advanced Composite Structures Laboratory (ACSL), the Lamborghini research laboratory in Seattle (United States), an exclusive carbon fiber chassis repair service has been provided since 2011, which guarantees assistance to the Lamborghini sales network around the world.

The repair service is offered through experts known as "Flying Doctors", who have undergone initial training at the Boeing Co. Repair Department, with further in-depth training at Abaris Training Resources Inc. in Nevada, where they obtain the Advanced Composite Structures Damage Repair qualification, recognized by the US Federal Aviation Administration.

TUSCANY TOUR @ 8.250 RPM

Following the success of last year’s Grande Giro, with more than 350 cars taking part in an Italy-wide event, this year it was decided to organize “Tuscany Tour @ 8.250 RPM” for a more intimate atmosphere, mixing the pleasure of driving a Lamborghini across beautiful Tuscan landscapes with a true experience of the Italian lifestyle.

Two separate tours were held over consecutive weekends. The first tour started on Friday, September 5 and ended on Monday, September 8, with clients coming from the UK, while the second started on Friday, September 12 and ended on Monday, September 15, with clients coming from Austria, Germany, the Netherlands and Switzerland.

Lamborghini enthusiasts met at the Fonteverde Hotel Resort & Spa for a relaxing afternoon before attending a briefing on the 3 days ahead. Located in San Casciano dei Bagni, a charming medieval village in the south of the province of Siena, the resort was built in the 17th century by Grand Duke Ferdinando I de’ Medici, and is a perfect example of Italian art and style, immersed in the splendid scenery of the Siena hills.

On the Saturday the convoy went to Pienza, a historic medieval town in the heart of Tuscany, a rare example of Renaissance town planning brought to fruition, before moving onto Cantina La Braccesca where, after a short tour of the winery, the guests relaxed over lunch.
The next stop on the tour was for a coffee break in Bagno Vignoni, renowned for its ancient Roman baths, before going to the hotel where guests were given the chance to relax and dine in the first monastery built by St Francis, a unique restaurant offering homemade food from locally grown products.

On the Sunday the convoy moved to the region of Emilia Romagna, passing through Buonconvento and following a stretch of the famous Mille Miglia race on “Via Cassia”, before stopping at Castel Monastero for lunch in a historic medieval village.
In the afternoon the convoy drove for more than 200 km through Tuscany, driving through the Futa and Raticosa Passes before arriving at Palazzo Varignana. On the Monday the guests were given a factory tour, including the CFK processing area where carbon fiber is produced for the Aventador Monocoque, ending with lunch at Palazzo Albergati. This stately home is considered to be one of the most significant and original examples of 17th century Baroque architecture. The building strikes the observer with its impressive size and the unusual contrast between the austere exterior and the unexpected Baroque interior. This breath-taking building is further enhanced by its original furniture, decorations and paintings, which reveal the exquisite taste, culture and flamboyance of its historic residents.

An amazing route through the Tuscan hills concluding in Motor Valley, the heartland of Automobili Lamborghini. The attendants are all looking forward to joining the next Italian Tour in 2015.
